Donor Spotlight: The Link Family Foundation
Education was the footing upon which The Link Family Foundation was built. Founded in 1991 by Al and Betty Link, the foundation creates educational opportunities for students nationwide. Here in Eastern Pennsylvania, Bruce and Luanne Link have been supporters of Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CIS of Eastern PA) for the past 21 years.
“The mission of CIS of Eastern PA aligned perfectly with what our foundation supports,” said Bruce. “I have so much respect for the growth of CIS of Eastern PA over the past few years. They are providing the resources that kids need inside schools all over Eastern Pennsylvania.”
The foundation looks to support the communities in which Al and Betty Link’s children reside. With four brothers and two sisters spread out across the country, the foundation's impact is felt in several states. Whether it be scholarships to help underprivileged youth in New Jersey, supporting a youth orchestra in Georgia, or supporting students in Indiana, they have transformed countless lives carrying on the mission started by their parents.
"The continued support of the Link Family Foundation allows CIS of Eastern PA to drive positive change, lighting the way for brighter futures for the students we serve,” said Tim Mulligan, CIS of Eastern PA’s president and CEO.
Bruce and Luanne reside in Easton and always rise to the occasion to help support our students. Recently, Bruce was heavily involved in the planning of the CIS of Eastern PA 40th Anniversary Celebration, serving as the head of the food and beverage committee. It’s this level of commitment and understanding of our mission that truly makes a difference.
